Words disappear after adding hyperlink to another page in Confluence

For simpler navigation, I added links to each child page in a bulleted list on the main page - similar to a table of contents. When I saved the edits, some of the lines disappeared. The bullets were still there, but no words or hyperlinks, the lines were just blank. I don't think I did anything differently with the lines that went missing and when I tried to add them back in, the same thing happened. I even tried adding them at the end of the list, as opposed to where the originally were in the middle, and they still disappeared. It has happened to two different pages and just a few of the lines/links, not all of them.

@Sarah Robin Welcome to the Atlassian community.

When you are adding the links is there similar formating to the links or special characters?  Can you share the link?  Also, if you are just creating a list of children pages you could use the Children Display macro to list the pages.

@Brant Schroeder Thank you for your response. The macro addresses what I was trying to do. I appreciate your help!
