Edit in Office option from Confluence shows Active X errors in Internet Explorer, whereas in Chrome, "Sorry, we could not open the <confluence url.xls>". Office 2016 no more uses Active X and why could not Confluence Office connector be supported in Windows 7?

Based on the feature request below, we can see the feature is currently in development.

Do add yourself as a watcher CONFSERVER-38024 - Support Office 2016 with Edit in Office for all the latest updates.
