Why is the formatting logic different per view on tickets?

I was attempting to add a certain type of formatting to a comment on a ticket, and the formatting rules are different when viewing the actual ticket and viewing the ticket from the kanban board.

 

Certain formats just do not work when on the actual ticket URL, and I find myself going to the Kanban and scrolling for the ticket instead of being able to actually use the formatting logic I want when linked to the ticket via email, or url etc. 


Is there a way to enable different formatting when viewing an actual ticket url?

Could you clarify a few points for us:

  1. What was the formatting that you tried to use within Confluence?
  2. What was the final result that you need?
  3. Is there any error currently present?
  4. Are you using Confluence cloud or Confluence server?
  5. Are you using Jira Cloud  or Jira Server?
  6. Are you trying to edit a ticket a ticket from within Confluence?
