Why is page tree missing when viewing a page from a mobile device?

I have a page with a properly functioning page tree. If looks fine and functions as expected with IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

However, when the pages is viewed on an iPad or iPhone, the page tree is missing.

What am I missing?
