Why is one user group not appearing in share options for a blog post?

I am trying to use the share function on a blog post to share out to a user group.  Every other user group except for the one I want to share to is appearing in the share field.

I created a test group and that immediately appeared in the share window.

I tested every single other group that already exists and they all appear.

There are no differences in the group set up of my confluence-users group versus the other ones that successfully appear.

Hello Ariana,

Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's nice to meet you.

Is the user group a predefined one? We have a bug right now where users aren't able to share to predefined groups.

  • CONFCLOUD-33616 Autocomplete does not find predefined groups when sharing a page

This would include groups such as confluence-users and confluence-administrators but not affect any groups you created yourself.

If this is not the case, then I would recommend you raise a ticket with our Cloud Support Team. They will be able to reindex your site so we can rule out an index problem, as well as directly review your Confluence logs to see what the issue might be.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

Regards,

Shannon

Thanks Shannon. It is the confluence-user group.

Ariana,

Thank you for confirming that. You can go to the bug ticket and click This affects my team in order to help keep track of the users who have been affected by this issue.

Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Take care, and have a pleasant week.

Regards,

Shannon
