Why is my Table of content showing up in edit view but then when I publish, nothing is there?

Chris Olofson December 18, 2018

I have a parent page which has two child pages:

Parent Page

  • Child1 Page
  • Child2 Page

On Child1, I have added the Page Tree macro. While previewing the macro, I can see the content (Parent and its relationship to Child1 and Child2).

However, once I publish the page itself, the Page Tree macro is not resolving/expanding to show the values which were clearly visible in preview mode. Instead, it isn't showing any content at all.

How can I make the Page Tree display dynamic content after publishing the page?

Thanks for any assistance.

@roman,

Thanks for trying to help.... any further advice would be greatly appreciated

(a) the root page is defined within the Page Tree macro; and then the macro itself is in edit mode, the dynamic content is accurate

(b) the page has been published

(c) there were console messages as shown below

@Chris Olofson,

try to clear the cache and local storage in Chrome: http://superuser.com/questions/519628/clear-html5-local-storage-on-a-specific-page.

Did this help?

Hi @Chris Olofson,

do you have parameters for root page defined in the macro settings?

Another thing I would check is if the page has unpublished changes. Is there such phrase next to the lock icon on the top of the page when viewing the page?

It would also be interesting to know if there are any console errors in the browser when viewing this page.

Roman.
