I found this solution from other
Settings --> General Configuration --> Administration --> Collaborative Editing
Try to change Collaborative Editing mode to limited. and try to edit. If editing was possible in limited mode, then you are facing issues with Synchrony.

Where is the Settings button?

If you have administrative access you can able to find the above Settings.
