In all of the tables that I've created on Confluence, the first column header always have extra left padding. Is this a BUG?
I don't think I've seen this happen before.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! When you edit the table, you can select the row by clicking on the highlighted part and get an option to insert rows, see below -
As soon as you click outside the table, that fragment will disappear, see below -

While in Edit mode, it looks fine. But once the page is published, the extra padding appears on the published page. The image in my first post is a screenshot of the table after it has been published and I used the browser inspect function to investigate. Unfortunately, my HTML and CSS styling skills aren't that good so I don't know why it is rendering it with extra padding.
