Why does Ctrl + Backspace now delete the whole page's content?

I regularly (and almost unconsciously) use Ctrl + Backspace across many different apps as a quick way to delete whole words rather than having to continuously hold down Backspace.  However, over the last few weeks I've noticed that when I use this in Confluence pages that I'm editing, instead of just deleting the last word I've typed, it deletes the entire section of text that I'm in!  When I Ctrl + Z to undo, it restores the text to where it was prior to me attempting the deletion so I have to start again.  This is driving me mad - and Confluence is the only place it seems to happen - it works as normal in Jira, for example.  Can this please be investigated and sorted out?

Hello and welcome to Atlassian Community @Sarah Williams

There is a related open Confluence Cloud editor bug involving Ctrl + Backspace/Delete inside tables, where the shortcut can be interpreted as a table-row deletion command. However, it is not clear to me whether that is the same issue you are experiencing. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-83667

You should Open an Ticket at Support.atlassian.com and let investigate that.

If you can't open it, let your Admin do that.

Best,

Arek 🤠
