Why do pages get added to my watches?

I have all email notifications off

I stopped watching every page under Watches.

Suddenly today I get an email about someone editing a page and I go to watches to see that I'm now watching this page I was emailed about.

This is the 3d or 4th time I clear my watches, yet more and more pages always appear.

Is there some other setting I don't know about?

It's possible that someone (space admin) has added you as a watcher https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/manage-watchers/
