Why can’t I delete a file that I created in a team space?

Yesterday, I accidentally created an extra file due to a misoperation. I’ve now found that I don’t have permission to delete it. However, I remember that previously I was able to delete or move files that I created myself. Could you explain why this is happening?

Hi @rui_guo2 ,

The ability to delete content you created in a team space is controlled by a specific space permission called 'Delete own'.

Your space admin may have updated the space permissions, or the permission configuration may have changed.

Here's what to do:

Ask your space admin to check the space permissions:

  • Go to the space → Space settingsSpace access Users

  • Find your user or group and make sure the 'Delete own' checkbox is enabled

You can find more details here: Assign space permissions.

Hope this helps 🙌
Liam

Hello @rui_guo2

Adding to answer from @Liam Do - DevSamurai , it would be reasonable to ask your Admin directly for reasons, why permissions was changed.
