Why can't I align in a wiki markup for a header?

I can't use the align wiki markup in order to align an image in my header. None of the align functions, whether 'top', 'bottom', 'left' or 'right', appear to work.

this works for me - the image is aligned on the right side:

Even with width and height it is working fine:
