Why can I only Update and not Publish?

A week ago, I had the Publish option when I updated Confluence pages I had created.  A week later, I only have the Update option.  Did I make a change in sharing that caused this?  I noticed the unlocked symbol, and I just now changed that so that only I can edit the Parent page, but I still see Update instead of Publish.  I don't know that this has any impact on me or anyone else, but I'd still like to know what is happening.

This is expected, Confluence just rolled out the new publishing experience as announced in this article, ðŸ”… A better publishing experience is coming to you

Also, I was thinking, perhaps I hadn't noticed that Publish is only available when I create a new page, and after that, only Update is available.
