Hi, I just started using whiteboards, and I have a document written and saved. However I by mistake scrolled in all directions hoping to see 'a corner' of the whiteboard, only to lose the content that I wrote.
As funny as it seems, I scrolled to such an extent that even after zooming out, I cannot seem to find the place where I wrote the notes.
I imagined that it would have a starting row and column like a spreadsheet, but doesn't look like it. Neither there are any buttons or options to go to the location where I entered some contents? Help I'm lost!
@Shantharam I have not really investigated whiteboards, since I'm on Standard and can only have 3 active boards at a time and I've been too busy to spend the time.
My team is getting closer to needing to use this feature, however, so I've signed up for an upcoming community-led course (Know Your Content : Confluence Whiteboards) led by @Robert Hean. If you check out this page: https://ace.atlassian.com/community-led-classes/, there are 2 sessions scheduled for Nov 10 and 18.
I believe there have been other events related to whiteboards, so you might look through the Past Events (after the Upcoming Events section of the page) to view recordings of those.
Also, you might want to search/read questions and articles specifically in the Confluence Whiteboards group in this community to see if someone has already addressed your question: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-Whiteboards/gh-p/confluence-whiteboards. Sometimes people post questions related to whiteboards to the community in general, so you can also search the entire Confluence area (select the Confluence link in the breadcrumb above the title of your question above.
Hi @Shantharam ,
Have you tried zooming to selection?
You mention expecting there to be a starting row and column like a spreadsheet, but are you perhaps thinking of a Confluence database? A whiteboard is by definition a big empty space, with no preset content like table rows or columns.

@Laura Campbell - Guess what, I took down that zoom percentage to 1% to turn the grids to their smallest size and somehow it's just not visible.
I understand the intent of the whiteboard, but I really wish there was some way for the user to go back to his 'area' if at all he wanders too far.
It got me frustrating to the point where I just gave up on it.
(Look at my zoom percentage in the picture below, LOL)
