Hi!
I just started using the New Editor and love being able to expand the width of my pages however have found a key feature I use regularly no longer seems to be there.
I heavily use the Layouts option to design and organize the content on my pages. I was hoping that the New Editor provided an ability to not only move sections up and down like I had been able to do before but also allow easy swapping of content in different columns within the same section. Unfortunately I found that in addition to the desired functionality I'd hoped for not being there, the following functionality that used to be there is no longer available:
What is the roadmap for getting this functionality for the New Editor? Thank you for working to make the new editing experience as useful as possible. =)
@Jenny Hollfelder Welcome to the Atlassian community
you can move sections around in the new editor by highlighting them and then hovering over them with the mouse until the little hand appears and then you can click and drag / drop to where you want it. Sometimes the drag and drop is difficult so I just cut and paste it where I want it. As for a single section that is by default. Just do not add a section and it is single. See image below of both examples.
Thank you so much for the quick answer, @Brant Schroeder
I tried the drag and drop method you described and was able to do it once however have not been able to get that to work again which is a bummer but at least I know now. The cut/paste works like a charm though so I'll use that and will follow your suggestion to insert text in between panels when I want to have a single column section and then just move the other sections around that as needed. Thanks again!
