When I try to link to an anchor using the #anchorname syntax I get an error

Following the documentation for linking to an anchor on the same page I'm trying to link to #anchor name. I'm told, as soon as I enter '#' that "The markup provided is not valid link markup".

How do I link to an anchor?

Hi Logan,

See if this works:

1. Insert the anchor to the page
2. Save/Publish the page
3. Edit the page and try adding the anchor link

I find sometimes (very rarely) anchor links don't work until I publish the page.
