What is the best way to DISPLAY (not attach) an Excel spreadsheet in Confluence that can be edited? I want to avoid having people download a file to make changes and mess up the format and then re-upload the file. I want somewhere where we can contribute to the same document (like a Google Sheet).

Hello there Chelsea!
Currently, Confluence can only have attached files for preview and also has a feature that allows users to edit them locally and then re-upload them to Confluence. It is the Companion App:
Edit Attached Files With The Apps On Your Desktop

Edit Files

Confluence does allow the users to insert tables natively, but those tables do not have the same functionalities as tables created in tools that are specific for spreadsheet management, such as Excel or Google Sheets.

For google docs, we have some options of third-party add-ons that might be able to help you out with this objective:

For Server and Cloud:
Google Drive Docs For Confluence

For Cloud Only:
Google Drive gDocs
Google Drive Connector For Confluence
Google Drive For Confluence

Let us know if these add-ons help you out!
