What do I need to do to search files that I have uploaded?

I have a file list in a space.

This file list contains files that I have uploaded.

When I search for them, the only thing that works is what is in the title of the document.  The tags do not return accurate search results.

Is there a way to have search work with uploaded documents?

The search is limited in confluence. You may want to try this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=metadata
