What Linux distro should I use for Confluence (9/2017)?

What is a good out of the box Linux distro to put Confluence on?

I am looking for something that will need as little tweaking as possible.

I plan to put it on a relatively low powered machine as a family wiki for 4 light use users.

RedHat if you want an OS you can get formal support on, CentOS if not (as that's what Atlassian tend to use).  It will work find on most Debian based distributions too - obviously Ubuntu is at the top of the popularity list there.  It works fine on plenty of other distros, and even the non-Linux FreeBSD.

The answer you need though is not a flat "CentOS" - I would pick the style of distribution you are most familiar with and go for the biggest most widely supported one of those.  (I'm most familiar with Debian, so I'd choose Ubuntu.  If I was ahead on the RedHat family, CentOS for test and RHEL for Production, and so-on)
