WebDAV seems to reset attachment history

Hi.

I just startet using WebDAV to edit my Confluence files. It works well, but something is wrong withe the version history.

Example:

I have a word document, uploaded as an attachmenet months ago, which has an attachment history of > 50 version. All edits has been made with the Compaginon App. 

If I chose to edit the file with WebDAV using Word once saving it the version history is reset to 2!  

(It actually behaves similar to deleting the file and creating a new one with the same name).

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Any ideas to fix the problem?

Hi,

from what you describe, you've been using the companion app before, then upgrade to the latest 6.15.6 version & enabled the new dark feature to get back the old handling.

My guess: Either a bug or enabling the feature resets the attachment version history.

Cannot try here as we stay with the companion app.
