I've mapped a drive to my Confluence installation using SSL (or non-SSL, either has the same result).
Whenever my computer is rebooted I get prompted for the credentials again to connect to the drive (if I tick remember password, Windows automatically fills this out, but still prompts me). Whenever I open a document (Adobe, Office etc.) I get the same thing: credentials prompt (even though Windows has automatically populated the prompt with my credentials.
I've done some reading around the web and it seems that because Confluence is using basic authentication for it's WebDAV that my credentials can't be delivered to it (the instance name is wiki.xxxxx.com, and have matching SSL certificate from a public authority etc.).
Is anyone able to shed any light on the above or suggest a solution?
Thanks
Hi Michael,
Could you please try to login as confluence admin>>Configuration>>>Office Connector>>>> tick Allow authentication tokens in the URL path see if the issue fix?
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+the+Office+Connector
You can also refer to the documentation here for your webdav configuration
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Configuring+a+WebDAV+client+for+Confluence
Hope these help.
Thank you.

Wayne Wong
Hi Wayne,
I'm afraid that didn't help. I wouldn't have thought the Office Connector was used when accessing files via WebDAV via a Windows mapped drive?
Cheers
Michael
