We are running Confluence version 5.10, and we do not have an admin account for JIRA, but not for Confluence and it appears that Confluence does not recognize the JIRA admin account like it states. So there is no entry in Confluence for any record of the admin password or account. Any ideas?
You may regain admin access to your Confluence 5.10 instance by following this guide: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights
Please follow the entire guide as there are several conditions that must be met before you can log in. For example, the internal user directory has to be active and the admin account has to be in the confluence-administrators group, among other variables.
Right, we have an stsadmin account, but it does give us the capability to add a new user to the confluence-adminstrators group, but that user does not have admin rights when he tries to add a user, which makes no sense. It's like the system doesn't recognize this administrator's group.
