Watcher notification prior to access restriction

I have created a public page and put some content on the page. Then clicked on Publish with the mention "Notify watchers" activated. Then I restricted access afterwards.

I would like to know if there are notification emails that had been sent to other watchers with the detail of my content in this notif email prior to the activation of access restriction?

As I understand, the page was restricted after you published it, right? If that is the case then, yes. Notifications should have been sent for people watching the content.
