Watch a page in Confluence with macro: "insert jira issue/filter" included

Hello, 

I'm trying to watch a page in Confluence to which I have attached the macro: "Insert Jira Issue/ Filter" but it doesn't work.
When I change an issue in Jira, I don't get a notification in Confluence. 

Does anyone have an idea if the notifications work by using this macro? 
The user who wants to receive the notifications only has a Confluence account, not a Jira account.

Hi @Iris Knuvers ,

I am working on addressing old posts that have never been answered. I am unaware of any such notification that would be generated within Confluence if a jury issue was updated. Did you ever find a solution for this? I expect it is not possible OOTB but maybe there is an add-on?
