I am working towards moving some content from one Confluence instance to another.

Having trawled the knowledgebase and community for a number of days I have landed on utilising the XML export option and then importing into the destination instance.

What I have not been able to identify is how I can validate the export and import to ensure that everything is carried across?

Hi @Geoff Herbig

Before you start the process, you need to take a note of the Database Statistics from the System Information Page. Once you import, you can verify the Database Statistics to know if the pages and space count has increased.

Take a snapshot of the following Confluence Statistics :

Users:
Groups:
Total Spaces:
Site Spaces :
Personal Spaces :
Content (All Versions) :
Content :
Search Index Size :

Alternatively, you can run the database query before and after the export/import

Thanks

Yoga

Thanks @Yoga Reddy {Appfire}, although that seems focused at validating a full database rather than just a space.

Are there ways to get those sorts of stats at a space level rather than a database level?

The 'Space Details' screen does not provide much detail in this way.

cheers

Geoff
