Starting approximately 2 weeks ago, I have been unable to edit and update pages in Confluence using Firefox. I can make the changes for the page without issue, but when I click "Update" it just spins forever, and displays a pop-up saying "We’re having trouble updating, We’ll continue trying to update. If it’s taking too long, refresh the page and click Update."
I've disabled UBlock Origin and Duck-duck-go privacy essentials with no effect.
I've cleared the site's caches and logged out and back into Confluence, no change.
I'm able to perform these actions with MS Edge.
Hi @Mike Baudais ,
It seems that there were no major outage to Confluence nor Jira, but Firefox users have seen similar since updates. Disabling uBlock/DuckDuckGo is a good start. You can try few steps below:
1) Clear Site-Specific Cache (This one would typically helps): Firefox > History > Show All History > Right-click a Confluence entry > "Forget About This Site" (clears cookies/cache for atlassian.net without affecting others). Restart Firefox and test.
2) Disable Hardware Acceleration: Firefox menu > Settings > General > Performance > Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration" > Restart. This fixes spinning/infinite loads in web apps like Confluence. (Similar article)
3) Proxy Check: Settings > Network Settings > If "Auto-detect proxy" or manual, try "No proxy" > Restart.
If still stuck, it's likely a compatibility bug -> You should report it: support.atlassian.com/contact > Confluence > Browser issues > Include Firefox version, steps, screenshot. As admin, toggle Rovo off temporarily (Site settings > AI > Disable) to test if it's the culprit. :)

I hope everything works out for you.
Best,
Peter
