Using Confluence DataCenter PAT in Jira DataCenter

Hello all,

I was wondering if it's possible to use a Personnal Access Token of Confluence Datacenter in Jira Datacenter ?

These 2 instances are connected to my Active Directory and the usesrs are the same.

We are using Confluence Datacenter 9.2.4 and Jira Datacenter 10.3.7

The context is that we are using personnal CLI application who needs PAT to work. Our users need to use their Jira or ther Confluence to use them, they ask me if it's possible to use only one PAT to do their actions instead of constantly switch between their 2 PAT.

Thanks for your help.
Regards

Hi @Vincent VOISIN

No this is not possible, you will need 2 tokens, unless Atlassian Crowd is used.

User management based on SSO with ut Crowd is still seen as a separate entities and so your account is not the same account even if this is synchronised from the same AD ID.

Hi @Marc -Devoteam-

Thanks a lot for your answer. I didn't know Crowd, I will see if it's relevant for us.

Have a good day

Hi @Vincent VOISIN

Crowd is a separate product from Atlassian designed to centralize user management for all your Atlassian Data Center applications.

Knowing Atlassian Data Center licenses will not be sold anymore in the near future and be end of life in 2029 I would advise against incorporating this solution in your stack.
