UserMacro - String to UpperCase

Is there a simple way (inside a user macro) to convert a string to uppercase ?

Already tried #set ($myString = $myString.upperCase()) etc. without any luck.

I need this for comparing string case-insensitive ...

Try this

#set ($myString = $myString.toUpperCase())
