Upgrading Confluence 5.9 to 6.0 - questions on servers

We have an existing instance of ver. 5.9.14 with 1000+ users hosted in 1 server.

How would be the setup now for ver 6.x with the introduction of collaborative editing? Do we really need to use "Confluence Data Center" for an additional license fee?

You don't need to go to data centre for this.

But I would recommend checking the server hardware is up to it - you'll want to allow Synchrony a couple of Gb memory on top of what Confluence is using already.

From your experience, do you think we can easily upgrade to 6.4.3 considering your reply above?
