Upgrade standard confluence install on Linux (CentOS 7) to Docker based install?

Larry Wilson January 16, 2018

I have installed Confluence on CentOS 7 64 bit with my PostgrSQL 9.5 instance on the same HOST

I currently have 6.0.4 installed and am going to do an upgrade to the most recent version 6.6

How do I migrate my data to be under the Docker install?

Hi Larry,

I would recommend doing the upgrade on the Linux side first, and then migrate to Docker using our usual Migrating Confluence Between Servers documentation. Since this requires that you move your files from Linux to Docker you will want to be versed in how to move physical files to a Docker instance.

If your instance is a small one, you could also try to use it using the steps in Restoring a Site.

I hope that helps, but let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Shannon
