Unsupported draw.io version; please upgrade

Deleted user May 31, 2018 edited

Yesterday I was able to edit my old draw.io diagrams embedded in confluence pages fine even though I got this warning

BUT today my diagrams will not open at all.

1) Is there a known reason for this?

2) Can I recover my draw.io diagrams without upgrading to the payable version of draw.io?

Hello @[deleted],

I guess you're on Confluence Cloud? We've been having the same issue since yesterday. I contacted Atlassian support and there isn't any error in the logs, so the only solution is to upgrade to the paid version.

You can recover your Draw.io diagrams since there are saved as a file attached to your Confluence pages. To find all your diagrams, you can search "macroName:drawio" to retrieve all pages containing diagrams.

Hope this helps,

- Manon

OK understood. Many thanks for the work around, that all makes sense

draw.io switched from being a free version to being pay for last August. At that point we froze the codebase that you use on that version. The problem is that it's essentially a fixed API working against other APIs that are moving, which has meant that the integration has degraded over time and, it seems, has more serious problems recently.

As mentioned, upgrading to the pay for version does resolve the issue.

If you want to stay on the free version, you can access your diagrams as attachments on the pages on which they are displayed. You could drag and drop the downloaded diagram data into the online version at https://www.draw.io/?splash=0 , edit it, save as XML, then re-load the XML to the attachment and that should update the diagram on the page.

draw.io online is open source and the data is all stored on your Confluence, so you always have access to both the application and the data. You could also use the free Desktop version to edit diagrams.

Any news on that? I have exactly same problem.

And even workaround gives me access to my current drawings I still like to have working and reliable solution. Do we have here any Atlassian people? Any comments on this issue?
