Some of our users left the project. They are still LDAP users, but marked deactivated in /admin/users/dosearchusers.action. They receive notifications in Confluence for events like Inline Comments or Calendars.
Is it possible to remove the deactivated users from all notifications?
Hello there Thomas!
The behaviour you described, disabled users receiving notifications about calendar events, is reported under this bug:
CONFSERVER-54328 | Disabled user is still receiving mail notification for team calendar reminder
By reading your issue description, it seems that some of your users (the disabled ones) are also receiving notifications from Comments as well. Is that correct?
About this specific part, could you give us a little more info about it:
- A screenshot of the notification received (if possible)
- Take care not to disclose sensitive information with it
- A screenshot of the user management where the user is shown as disabled
- Take care not to disclose sensitive information with it
Further, are you able to check if there are other users with the same email as the disabled ones? Or if a user has a group email as the user email and the notifications are sent to other users under that email group.
Looking forward to your reply!
Dunno how but the issue solved itself. Thanks.

Hey, thanks for updating the thread Thomas! Was anything changed in the instance prior to the issue fixing itself?
