As can be seen in the image below, when I open our space (or any others not used by my team) I can only see the space itself in the sidebar. It means it's quite difficult to navigate and very slow to find anything unless I know the exact name of the page or it's parent.

You mentioned this only occurs in spaces you don't use. So can you confirm there are some spaces where this doesn't occur?
It appears that you might be using the Safari browser, as well. Can you confirm the problem exists in also Firefox or Chrome? Are you using a mobile device?

No, it happens in all spaces (I didn't write that very clearly). Now that I've checked it, ut does work on Chrome, but not Firefox or Safari. I don't use any mobile devices with it, I strictly use it on my iMac in work.

Can you confirm that this issue occurs with ALL USERS or only certain users?
The next thing I would recommend is to clear your browser cache, and try putting Confluence in Safe Mode and let us know if the issue still occurs.
If it does, I would like to be able to have a look at your Cloud instance to see why this is happening, but we'll need you to raise a support ticket for that. Let me know if you end up doing that, and once it's resolved with the Cloud team, could you come back here and let us know what the issue was? I haven't seen this issue except on Safari Mobile view, so it may be a separate issue.
