Unable to find user from diffrent domain

Hi,

Welcome dear community. I'm new in the Confluence world

This could be the main reason of my issue ;-)

Let's start form the begining, I have the following problem:

  1. There are two companies (each has a separated e-mail domains @a.de and @b.com - managed by the same AD) collaborating together as a one team
  2. I'm a member of the @b.com comain
  3. I've invited users from both domains by e-mail addresses
  4. I can see and I can join to a newely created team all users from my domain
  5. I'm unable to join to my team people from the oposite domain (@a.de)
  6. I'm even unable to find them
  7. The user from diffrent domain tan me has similar/oposite issue

 

Is it a known issue in the confluence software?

What I'm doing wrong?

 

Please, help me if you know the problem

Hi Bocieck,

Can you confirm that user has indeed accepted your invitation? The users that share a domain with you don't need to accept the invitation, but anyone in another domain would need to.

Bocieck,

In our testing we also noticed that it may not be possible to find another user in a domain if you haven't interacted with them yet.

Could you try @ mentioning that user in a page or maybe liking or commenting on one of their posts? Then see if you are able to find them.

Users confirmed invitations but unfortunately the haven't interaction with anything (linke or comment). After activity like comment a post I'm glad to say. I'm able to manage, find and join them to the team.
