Only the Delete button is visible for the macro.
No Edit option is shown.
The issue is consistent across different browsers.
The issue still occurs in incognito mode.
Clearing cache and refreshing the page does not resolve it.
When selecting a macro in the Confluence editor, the macro toolbar should display an Edit option so the macro configuration can be updated.
Based on the page content, the issue may involve one or more of the following macros:
Chart from Table
Pivot Table
Jira Data Center
Tested in different browsers
Tested in incognito/private browsing mode
Cleared browser cache
Refreshed the page
This issue prevents updating or maintaining existing macro content on the page, which blocks page edits and may affect reporting or embedded data visibility.
Please investigate whether this is caused by a Confluence Cloud editor bug, a permissions issue, or an incompatibility with the installed macro app version. Also advise whether there is a workaround to restore macro edit controls.
Hi @Akhila RAMANAN ,
As Fazila and Zulfkar suggested, I'd check with other users to see if they are experiencing the same thing. If you have an internal Atlassian/Confluence team (or just an IT department), I'd recommend reaching out to them 👈
I just checked two of our sites: in both cases, I can see the "Edit" button below the Jira Data Center macro.
In case the internal team cannot troubleshoot this, your Confluence admin can reach out to the official support team here: Atlassian Support
Hope you'll get this sorted soon 🤞
Cheers,
Tobi
Hi @Tomislav Tobijas ,
I have checked with others from my team, even they are facing same issue
I will reach out to support team,

Both the charts macro (except jira dc one) you mentioned are from external app, could you verify whether the app is ok and only it's macros are impacted?
What about other simple confluence built in macros?
Are other users also face the same issue in your site?

This sounds like a permissions or editor-mode issue rather than a macro problem itself. Have you checked whether the same macros can be edited by another user on the page?
