Unable to create a space with Software Project Space blueprint for a Nextgen Jira project

The above link speaks about various templates/blueprints available in Confluence cloud. Out of which, I tried creating a space using "Software Project Space". After selecting the blueprint, it asks for Jira project name to be linked, but the search box does not show the Next-Gen projects which are there in my Jira cloud.
Is this blueprint available only to create and link the space with classic Jira software projects alone ?
