Atlassian Cloud user. From a JIRA issue's Linked Issues field, why am I not able to choose a Confluence page to link to? That kind of link is only accessible from the JIRA issue by way of the ...>Link menu item which exposes the Confluence page link type.

In other words, at issue creation, I cannot allow a user to link to a Confluence page from the Linked Issues field on the form. The only workaround is to create the issue and then link to the Confluence page as noted above.

Am I missing something?

It's because a Confluence page is not an issue, and the "field" is for linked issues.

Understood, so I guess there is no way to expose a means for one to create a confluence link at issue creation.
