I am creating wiki entries from a monitoring system in Confluence.  Now I can easily do this using the following;-

https://confluence.berenberg.io/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=OPC&fromPageId=79355789&linkCreation=true&src=quick-create&title=<monitoring system check name>

This works fine in that it will open a new blank page for editing if one does not exist, or simply open the page if it already exists.

I want to do exactly the same as above but instead use a template(rather than a blank page) if the page does not exist.

Whatever I try always results in a new page being opened, even if one already exists, hence it then cant be saved as its a duplicate name.

This is the what I have tried to use and failed;-

 https://confluence.berenberg.io/pages/createpage.action?templateId=80445463&spaceKey=OPC&newspacekey=OPC&fromPageId=79355789&linkCreation=true&title=<monitoring system check name>

Any ideas how this can be done, seen some similar old questions, but none seem to result in an answer. Sure this has been resolved by now as some of the questions are 5+years.

Thanks in advance

Mark
