Hello all,
Since one month ago, when MANAGE APPS functionality reported there were updates for UPM, we'd tried to run the relative update but all the time we obtain a fail of this functionality; the same also for other two Apps:
our Confluence version is actually 6.15.4 and our Jira Server is 8.1.1
may we have some suggestion on how to solve this matter?
thanks for your kind attention.
Roberto Doneda
Roberto,
Thank you for contacting us and welcome to Community! It's nice to have you.
You can try the following, depending on what errors you see in your Confluence log files (not the ones in the Audit Log):
If that does not work, I am very interested to see what errors are being triggered in your Confluence Server Logs. Please feel free to trigger the error again, make a note of the timestamp, and provide any lines from your log labeled ERROR.
Thank you for your help!
Regards,
Shannon
Dear Shannon,
sorry for the delay to reply to you
We’ve just applied the article you suggested us; the result wasn’t as expected and we still have same error.
I’m trying to find log file “atlassian-confluence.log” as described into the article but I cannot find it: may you drive me to find it?
I'm asking you this because also the link you insert in "Confluence Server Logs" doesn't work..
Awaiting a reply.
Roberto

Hello Roberto,
Sorry about that! It looks like the URL I pasted got replaced somehow with a portion from the URL to this thread.
The URL I meant to send you was this:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/working-with-confluence-logs-108364721.html
Finding the Confluence log files
This section describes Confluence's default logging behavior, and assumes that you have not changed the destination of the logs. In order to unify logging across different application servers, Confluence uses the
atlassian-confluence.log
as its primary log, not the application server log.
- When you start Confluence, log entries will be sent to the application server logs until Confluence has completed its initial bootstrap. Any log entries written to the console will be repeated into the log in the Confluence home directory as described below.
- Once the initial startup sequence is complete, all logging will be to
<confluence-home>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log
. For example:c:/confluence/data/logs/atlassian-confluence.log
.Note that the default location is the Confluence home directory, not the application server's log file. The home directory is specified in
<confluence-installation>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/confluence-init.properties
.
Can you give that a try and let me know if you have any trouble?

Shannon

Dear Shannon,
we'd applied your suggestion but unfortunately without success.
I noticed that there were also JVM memory sizing too low for the actual Confluence version; so we improved those parameters and now everything it's Ok.
thanks for your support.
Have a nice day.
Roberto.
