We are using troubleshooting article template, there is a button "Add troubleshooting article" on the page, usually we click it to create a new article from template, but now shows "Create from Template (Edit to setup)" , and it's not clickable. When try to edit template, macro (create-from-template) still there. How to make button enabled and works?
I had this exact same problem as Lisa describes. It began a few weeks ago an impacted every space that uses the Meeting Notes macro.
I followed the steps above to resolve it:
- open the Meeting Notes "overview" page
- click Edit pencil
- where the "Create Meeting Note" button is, hover over and then click the edit pencil
- change "Template Name" to Meeting Notes
- click save
I had to repeat these steps individually for EVERY space using the meeting notes macro.
In each case, the "Template Name" was being randomly assigned to some other template besides meeting notes - templates that we don't even use.
This is a weird bug that slowed down my team and it was slow to repair.
Thank you so much Lisa for describing the issue clearly so I could find it in a google search, and Shannon thanks for suggesting a path that eventually led me to a solution.
Hi lwang,
Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to have you join us!
Can you edit the Create from Template macro and show us what parameters are set? Check that it's using the correct template and space.
Secondly, what browser are you using, and can you replicate this in other browsers?
I hope to hear from you soon!
Take care,
Shannon

Hello Shannon,
I opened the Edit Macro dialog, preview "Add troubleshooting article" button works fine, I didn't change anything, just click the Save button to close the edit macro dialog, then I can see the button enabled, after I click Publish button, it works fine now. Thanks for helping!
Thanks,
Lisa

Hello Lisa,
That's very odd! I'm glad it worked out.
Take care, and have a pleasant weekend.
