Hello,
We recently migrated our server-based Confluence to Confluence Cloud. Initially, all entries appeared correctly, but for the past few days, all images are showing corrupted thumbnails. However, when clicking on the broken image icon, the image opens correctly.
By default, the pages were created with the original editor. When we click to edit a page, we do see the option to use the new editor, and if we perform that conversion or update, the page then displays the thumbnail correctly.
Do you have any idea what might be happening? We're not ready to migrate everything to the new editor yet.
I've attached a screenshot.
Many thanks
@Mario Alarcon Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
You say that the image displays correctly when you click on the broken image icon. This sounds like there may be a browser/caching issue. Have you tried clearing your cache, using a different browser, or incognito mode?
On another note, you say that you are not ready to migrate everything to the new editor yet, so I wanted to make sure that you are aware that Atlassian recently announced that it will deprecate the legacy editor in April 2026: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-articles/The-Legacy-Editor-is-being-deprecated-in-Confluence-Cloud-Here-s/ba-p/3046832

Adding to Barabara's reply (betting you found a browser issue, check if cache is not disabled too), are the attachments nested in a macro? If so, could you try to place them outside of the macro? (Cloud is a bit more restrictive than DC)
