We have internal Confluence server with number of communities. One of communities, that updates quite often, needs to be accessible to customers and partners from outside of internal network. Not the whole community, but number of pages from it.

The best option we thought is to have separate cloud confluence instance and sync content of the community partially to cloud, but we were surprised that there is no way to sync communities or even pages between server and cloud instances.

any suggestions?

Hi @Gennady Kornilov,

welcome to the community.

Have you tried Comala's Remote Publishing functionality? According to their docs, they support writing in Confluence server and publish it to a Cloud instance.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_

yes I saw this add-on. As per description it requires Comala Workflows that is a great product, but it costs equal to it's great functionality ;) however we need only one simple sync function)

Thank you

I understand.

Of course, you could also try to script it yourself using the server / cloud REST API, but to be honest, I would not recommend it - mainly due to all the macros you could use which won't be easily transferrable.

Does the external instance need to be a confluence with all its functionality like permissions, comments, etc.? Otherwise you could also try to export your content to HTML and serve this to partners or customers. There are several exporter apps in the marketplace. This way, you would not have to pay for the Confluence Cloud instance based on users, but needed to host the HTML/JS files somewhere.

Since I work for K15t, I can obviously recommend our own product, the Scroll HTML Exporter which is able to export the hierarchy and also search in the exported pages.
