Hi,

I cannot start up Confluence  because of internal problems, I guess. Every time I try to connect, it appears this warning message:

"Non Clustered Confluence: Database is being updated by another Confluence instance".

Can you give me more information about this? Is it an internal problem? And if so, is it going to be fixed soon?

Thanks in advance,

Marta

Hi Marta

First of all, welcome to the Atlassian Community! :)

This error points to the database possibly being connected to other applications (i.e. another Confluence Server). Could that be possible?

Or maybe the database is read only, in another state not compatible with Confluence or corrupted.

If you are on Confluence Data Center check out Confluence will not start due to fatal error in Confluence cluster.

Else I suggest you check the logs of your DB and see if you can find anything unusual. If you are not the database admin of your organization contact them and ask them to investigate.

Cheers
Nick
