I've installed and re-installed confluence every way from sunday and it keeps giving me this error. I've tried chown/chmod uninstalling and reinstalling with several users.
Hi,
That sounds frustrating.
The error you are reporting can have a variety of causes, described in: Confluence does not start due to Spring Application context has not been set < the article has 10 possible causes and resolutions, or I would paste them here for your convenience. I look forward to hearing what it turns out to be in your case.
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Ann
As it turns out some files were left over from the failed install. I deleted the confluence.cfg.xml and restarted confluence and it immediately solved the problem.
