Spell checking is enabled in Confluence by default. How do I make the default be disabled?

I write a lot of technical material in Confluence such as programming code snippets.  The spell checker does not recognize most of it.  Every time I start to edit a page I disable the spell checker feature which is on by default.  Is there a way to have it be off by default.

I'd like to use that feature at times and so would like to still be able to turn it on as needed.  I just want it to start off as disabled instead of the other way around.

Confluence doesn't have a spell-check.  It's your browser doing it.  Most browsers will let you turn it on and off, many on a site basis.

Thanks.  I found the setting in FireFox to disable spell checking.

Life is a little  better!
