This problem arose this week when attempting to delete an existing image and load a new image into Confluence. Last week it worked fine. The person who was attempting to complete this task sent a screen print of the error. I attempted to do the same thing as Administrator and I received the same error message. Please advise if you've encountered this problem and the solution for this issue.
Denyse,
This issue indicates a problem connecting to the editing service, and we'll need to dive a bit deeper to be sure.
To start, we had an issue going on recently where this was happening for a lot more users than would be expected, due to an issue with the edit page functionality:
We've cleared this up, and so in the event that this was the bug affecting you, then you shouldn't be experiencing it anymore.
However, as this is a common error due to connectivity issues, both internal and external, if it's still occurring for you then we know there's another cause.
If it does still happen for you please tell me:
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Shannon
Hello Shannon,
We tested this morning and while there is no error message, it never brings up the screen in edit mode - it forever shows it trying to connect.
She's tried in different browsers - not resolved.
I tried and received the same error and I'm an administrator for the network and for Atlassian Confluence/Jira.
Not on a VPN. I haven't tried logging in and trying to edit via VPN yet but I'll give it a shot tonight.
Regards,
Denyse Miller

Denyse,
I don't actually need you to test with VPN, just without, in the case that you're using one. You aren't using a firewall either, are you?
I also didn't see if you answered my question about if this happens on other pages. Could you let me know that?
Lastly, you said that both you and her are having the issue, but are ALL users having the problem? Were you able to test with any more users besides yourself and this user?
