Dear community,
I am aware that there are already many tickets and requests on this topic. However, I am looking for a solution, whether it is a hack or a plugin.
The best ticket if found is this one: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-45480
You may ask why we don't just choose the option from the menu. Well, we are over 2500 employees who use Confluence every day and make 1000s of updates. Recently, we were still in the server instance and had a setting that by default no notification goes out. It is impossible to change this behavior on the spot.
So, we need a solution: A Solution to disable Notify Watchers By default
How can we do that? Any Hack? Any Plugin? Any Idea?
@Andreas Schwarz unfortunately there is no hack or app that provides this functionality. The best thing to do is vote for the feature request you referenced and see how it progresses. You can also work with users to help them manage their notifications as they can stop watching spaces and pages on their own. I know of this app which makes it a little easier to manage notifications at the space level https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222435/extension-for-confluence-free?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
Spend the day sharpening your skills in Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin or Jira Administration, then take the exam onsite. Already ready? Take one - or more - of 12 different certification exams while you’re in Anaheim at Team' 25.
