Since the UI update a few months ago, I can no longer see emoticons

I used to use keyboard shortcuts such as (/) to display a green check mark, however since the updated version rolled out, I can no longer see the emoticons.

I can also no longer see how to enable or disable emoticons in the user settings.

I am using the new editor, and can confirm that (/) turns into a checkmark for me.

Can you check your profile and make sure you haven't disabled shortcuts?

• Use symbols, emojis, and special characters > Cancel or disable emojis

1. Choose your profile photo > Settings
2. Choose Edit
3. Select or deselect Enable keyboard shortcuts
4. Submit

If your shortcuts were disabled, then enable them, and you should be able to use emoji again.

If it's already enabled, can you tell me if all other users are having the issue? Does this issue occur in all browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, etc.?
