Server migration

Thomas RAMON December 5, 2018

Hi,

I would like to migration my current confluence server to another one.

The first server was a test and I would like to create a clean installation in a new server with another distribution and another datadase.

Old server :
Ubuntu Server 16.04 - H2 db Embedded

New server :
Centos 7 - PostgreSQL 9.5 / 9.6

The problem is that I already register my test server with a paid license...

My question is can I transfer my license to the new server easily ?

Will it cause me problems for the migration ?

I'm not an expert in Atlassian application, that's why I've got these kind of questions.

Best regards,

Thomas RAMON

Hi Thomas,

The licenses will not cause problems to your migration. When you migrate your data from old server to the new server, the license will also carry along with the data. Once the data migration has been completed, I am assuming you shuts down your old server and continue with the new one which has the paid license.  In case, you still want to use test server for testing purpose, you can get a developer license for the same. Find out more about it at;

Hope this helps
