Server Update to 8.5.4 failed

I can't find a support form for Confluence Server so I'm posting here...

After update from 8.5.3 to 8.5.4, Confluence doesn’t load and says:

License Inconsistency: Confluence support and upgrades for your current license have expired
You'll need to supply a valid license key. Confluence can't start without this.
If you have a new license, please enter it on this page and restart.

Try that page and get -
System Error has occurred
Exception ID: 6842f8ad-cb8d-455e-8767-daeefd376d86

I have a valid license, but don't know how to update it without Confluence running.

I followed this to put in our newer license listed in the dashboard and restarted but I get the same errors.

Ultimately, changing the license in the config file allowed access to the admin side and I was able to update plugins that were causing issues.
